I LOVE when friends have a baby.  When I found out this awesome couple was having a baby around Christmas time last year, I knew just what I had to do!  You see, Addison’s daddy loves, and I mean LOVES to hunt.  So I spent a good few months planning that one perfect shot.  I asked around and a good friend of mine had the PERFECT moose antlers for me to use.  Addison’s daddy wasn’t all that excited about having newborn photos done, as most men are, but when I texted him the photo of the antler I found, it totally sealed the deal for him 🙂

Isn’t this moose antler awesome?  Addison must have known how important this shot was, not only for her daddy but also for me.  She seriously just melted right into pose without any hesitation….and the end result was absolute PERFECTION!  Gah…I die!

I never used to finish the session with family images.  Why, I’m not really sure.  They are now my absolute favorite part of the session.  Seeing the love and emotion new parents feel for this tiny little person is so moving.  After all, this is most likely the very first family picture that my clients will have.  I absolutely encourage clients to take at least one together.  I know most moms are feeling the least bit photogenic at this point – but trust me – one day you will thank me 🙂
