So I really dislike writing blog posts.  I wish I could just post the photos and let you oohhh and aahhh over them, but then that wouldn’t be fair to my little clients and their families.

Miss Carys and her mommy and daddy traveled over an hour to come and visit me when she was just 8 days old.  I love that my clients will do anything including traveling longer distances just to come see me.  It means so much to me that they want me and only me to capture their brand new baby and are willing to do just about anything to make it happen.  I seriously have THE best clients.

Carys’s mommy followed my directions in preparing for her session to a ‘T’!  When they arrived she was super sleepy, so I got her mommy to top up her tummy so she had a nice full belly, and we were off.  This little girl hardly moved at all, and just let me play and play.  She melted into every pose I put her in.  Oh, and did I mention that she has the most adorable cheeks in the world!!

I chose to keep the colors of Carys’s session neutral and really debated on whether or not I should use a brown backdrop for a girl.  I am so glad that I stuck with my original decision, she looks absolutely stunning on this backdrop with her beautiful creamy skin and darker hair and eyelashes.

Did you know that I completely customize your session for you? I spend quite a few hours prior to you arriving hand selecting fabrics and coordinating hats, headbands, and wraps just for your session.  I always, always only stick with one fabric and coordinating color.  I want your finished gallery to flow beautifully from one image to the next.  All while keeping the props simple and all of the focus on your beautiful new baby.

 

I just love this last image of her in the moon prop.  I love, love, love the use of dream lighting and I had my doubts that this shot was even going to work.  But, oh my, it did!!  And it turned out better than I could have ever imagined!  LOVE!!
