I will always remember each and every baby I photograph.  I remember their name and the one unique detail that  immediately stands out to me when I photograph them.  For Annika, it’s her eyelashes.  My gawd!! Look at her crazy long, thick eyelashes!  I mean, seriously, not many 7 day old newborns have eyelashes quite like hers.  They are to die for and I hope they stay that way 🙂

I was so honored to be able to capture this precious little girl for her mommy and daddy.  They waited a long time for this sweet doll.  Sometimes, I think when we want something so desperately, and we wait, hoping and praying. Then when it finally happens, it is even more memorable and we want to savor every single detail of the moment.  There is not a moment on earth more magical than that moment when you become a parent.  It is so insanely emotional and you are literally on ‘cloud nine’.  You are so overcome with love for this little person you have only just met.

Annika’s mommy told me she wanted creams and whites for Annika’s session.  There is something so pure, fresh and innocent about a baby surrounded by these colors.  Seriously a girl after my own heart as anyone who knows me, knows that the only two colors that exist in my world are creams and whites 🙂
